LINKED VERSE is an evening-length concerto for cello, Japanese shō & voice, sound, and live 3D stereoscopic visual projection by composer Jaroslaw Kapuscinski and OpenEndedGroup. An evocation of otherness and union that builds on tensions and accords between elements of Japanese and Western cultures, the work explores ancient and contemporary eras of sensory modalities, both visual and aural. A collage of photographs and videos gathered on location in Tokyo, Kyoto, New York, and San Francisco will evoke a haunting visual landscape.
